Announcing the 2013 MIT SWE Future Leaders

 I am excited to announce that four board members have been selected to represent MIT and Region F as SWE Future Leaders this year:

• Margaret Guo
• Connie Liu
• Quanquan Liu
• Srinidhi Viswanathan

These ladies will have the opportunity to represent Region F (and of course MIT) at the Collegiate Leadership Institute to be held during the SWE Annual Conference in Baltimore on Saturday, Oct 26th.

MIT has the second highest number of SWEFLs compared against every other section in the United States, and we know they will represent us well. Congrats ladies!

IMPORTANT UPDATE from WiSE

Dear students, mentors, and faculty,

In light of the tragic events last night on the MIT campus, our WiSE (Women in Science and Engineering) panel tomorrow is canceled.
Please stay safe.  If you feel overwhelmed, please talk with a trusted adult and/or call MIT Urgent Care 617-253-4481 who can put you in contact with a mental health professional.
Students: If you have any questions that you wanted to ask our undergrad panelists, feel free to email me and I'll get responses back for you.

Again, we are really sorry to cancel the session, especially since this was the last WiSE session planned for this school year.
